         To the men and women of the PNP Crime Laboratory, I am extending my heartfelt and warmest felicitations to each and every one of you on the occasion of our 62nd Foundation Anniversary
         The PNP Crime Laboratory has been in the service of the Filipinos for a long time now and nowhere in the past has time proved more challenging than today.
         The steady increase in our population means more and more people need our immediate and professional service. This is also a time where the challenges we meet have become more extra-ordinary: the real and present danger of terrorism, the threat of cyber-crimes and the mass casualties caused by natural and man-made disasters to mention a few.
         Our anniversary theme this year:” Forensic Investigation: key for truth and justice towards a peaceful and progressive nation”, accurately describes the vital role we all play to overcome these challenges.
         I am confident that the Crime Laboratory will ardently forge ahead and accomplish its mission and objectives, producing concrete achievements by exemplifying unwavering professionalism.
         Our remarkable achievements in the past year are testament to your competence and dedication to service. The Crime Laboratory was awarded the Certification of Registration to ISO 9001:2000 by Certification International in June 2006, the only unit in the PNP to do so. Shortly thereafter, we were adjudged as the Best National Operational Support Unit of the PNP for the first time in our rich history.
         We thank God Almighty, the great architect of the universe for all these blessings which He showers to those who truly love to serve. We would also like to extend our deepest gratitude to PDG OSCAR C CALDERON, our Chief PNP, who through his kind support, made all these things possible.
         Finally, let me exhort everybody to press on and do our work the best way we can. Together we can do more, together let us FIGHT CRIME with SCIENCE!!!
