The Pre-Charge Investigation Division
To lighten up the workload of Pre-Charge Investigation Division (PCID), they embarked on a cost-effective computerized program, utilizing existing hardware and incorporating programs designed to better serve its clients which
started in March 2006 & was completed
in July of the same year.
The
introduction of the program led to a faster and more accurate updating of statistics including issuance of clearances to police officers who will need them for schooling, promotion, leave of absence, travel abroad,
reassignment and other
personnel movement.
For year 2006, 767
administrative cases were
filed against erring PNP
personnel at the PCID. A
total of 699 cases were investigated. Out of this total, 141 cases (20%) were dropped and closed due to lack of evidence and probable cause, 444 (64%) are under summary hearing procedures and 114 cases (16%) were decided by the C,PNP.
