After the arrest of six drug suspects in Tarlac on Thursday morning, two drug suspects believed to be their cohorts were arrested in a separate anti-illegal drugs operation in Isabela later on the same day.
Reports reaching PNP Chief, Police General Debold M Sinas from Police Brigadier General Crizaldo O Nieves, Regional Director of PRO2, disclosed the arrest of MARCELO TUDLONG THOMAS, 29 yrs old, and a resident of Purok 1, Bulanao, Tabuk City, Kalinga and KERUBEN WINNIE BANOSAN, 32 yrs old, and a resident of San Juan, Quezon, Isabela by operatives of Special Operations Unit 2, PDEG, PDEA Isabela, Isabela PPO-Provincial Intelligence Unit, Quezon PS and San Manuel PS
Confiscated in the possession of the suspects were 41 marijuana bricks and MOL 5 grams of suspected Shabu.
The buy bust operation was conducted following the arrest of high value targets in Tarlac with 158 kgs of marijuana worth Php18.96million pesos.
"The arrest of these eight suspects is a clear indication that our no let up anti-illegal drugs campaign is a success. We will continue to aggressively go after the drug peddlers and dealers – depriving them of their illegal merchandise, their profits, and a safe haven", Sinas said.
