8 KIDNAPPERS CONVICTED AFTER 9 YEARS TRIAL

“This is a triumph of justice that manifests the keen resolve of government to uphold the rule of law and hit hard against criminal elements.”

PNP Chief, “Pulis Nyo Po” Director General Nicanor A Bartolome issued this statement to describe his satisfaction over the guilty verdict handed today by a Quezon City court on eight kidnappers of a Chinese-Filipino trader abducted back in 2003.

Bartolome particularly lauded the officers and men of the PNP Anti-Kidnapping Group, formerly Police Anti-Crime Emergency Response (PACER) that freed Mrs. Venilda Ho from her kidnappers in simultaneous daring rescue operations nine years ago in Kamias, Quezon City and Las Piñas City.
