The Philippine National Police through the Highway Patrol Group and the Land Transportation Office strengthened their partnership in enriching their road safety advocacy by celebrating the "PNP-LTO Road Safety Day" on July 2, 2018 at the PNP Transformation Oval in Camp Crame.

A signing of a Memorandum of Agreement between the PNP represented by PNP Chief Police Director General Oscar Albayalde and the LTO represented by LTO Chief, ASec. Edgar Galvante was held during the event.

The MOA aims to bring more efficiency to law enforcement, and improve the quality of services of both organizations to the public.

PDG Albayalde also led the oath taking of road safety marshall who are drivers, riders, and conductors who underwent Road Safety Orientations as part of the OPLAN “Disiplinadong Drayber”.

Furthermore, the LTO brought their services to a ‘One-Stop Shop’ wherein the issuance and renewal of licenses, vehicle registrations, and other related documents were made available.

Car dealers and proprietors were also invited to display their best cars with the latest safety features The exhibit aimed to encourage road users to acquire vehicles with the best safety features to avoid unwanted incidents on roads, resulting from mechanical problems or vehicle defects.
