The Philippine National Police Web site has information in different electronic formats (e.g. PDF, MPG, RM, etc.) as: guides, documents, videos and sound files that can be viewed or heard if you have the proper software. If you cannot open a PDF document, or a video, or a sound file, maybe it is because you have not installed the necessary software in your computer. On this page you will find the information for downloading free suitable software. Some of these publications are in PDF (Portable Document Format). To view them you will need to have the Adobe Acrobat Reader plug-in installed on your computer. The Reader can be downloaded at no cost from Adobe's site on the World Wide Web. Browser Information and Requirements:
You can configure your system in your 'control panel'. Downloading Information Downloading refers to the method by which you access digital information from a remote computer. A link will take you to the official Web site from where the application will be downloaded. Links are easy to find because they will appear in a different color, and in addition when you place your mouse over the link a "little hand" will appear. To download the file you have to click on the logo or over the name of the application. When the system starts downloading you will be prompted to save the file somewhere on your hard drive, or the file may download automatically to your desktop, depending on how your browser is configured. Select "Save to Disk". Then you have to select the folder where you want to keep it. Once the file is downloaded you must follow the instructions to install.
If you have difficulty opening a pdf file (Adobe Acrobat), please use the 'save as' facility in your browser to save the file to your hard drive. It should then open correctly when you open it from that location. If you have difficulty accessing any material on this site because of a disability, please contact us in writing or via telephone and we will work with you to make the information available.
