WESTERN VISAYAS POLICE CAPTURE 2 MOST WANTED MEN

Operatives from the Police Regional Office-6 in Western Visayas captured two Most Wanted personalities, both carrying government reward for their arrest.

In his report to newly-installed PNP Chief, Deputy Director General Edgar B Aglipay, PRO-6 Regional Director, Chief Superintendent George L Aliño said both captured suspects are facing separate criminal charges in Capiz and Antique.

Aliño identified the captured wanted men as Jose CASTOR y Cuba, alias Joe, 48 years old, a native of Barangay Duran, Dumalag, Capiz; and Ricardo AGAPITO alias Boy Laway, a native of Lauan-an, Antique. According to Aliño, the capture of Castor and Agapito is in line with the instructions of the newly-installed PNP Chief for all police units to intensify operations against persons wanted by the law specially those involved in serious criminal offenses.

Aliño said Castor carried a P450,000.00 reward offered by the Department of the Interior and Local Government.

A special manhunt team from PRO-6 led by Senior Inspector Sofronio Fusim captured Castor in Barangay Gatbaka, Calumpit, Bulacan over the weekend. Castor is facing criminal charges for double Murder and Frustrated Murder filed before the RTC Branch 21 of Mambusao, Capiz along with co-accused Roy Focbit alias Panoy, who was earlier arrested on March 24 in Silay City , Negros Occidental.

In a separate operation, a PRO-6 tracker team under Senior Inspector Jun Premne captured Ricardo Agapito in Barangay Apas, Cebu City yesterday morning.

Agapito is tagged as gunman who shot and killed Dr. Carlito Moliño in San Jose , Antique last February 5, 2002. Agapito carried a DILG reward of P300,000.00 for his arrest.
