PNP: CRIME VOLUME DOWN BY 10% IN 2004 - The Philippine National Police has reported a 10% drop in crime volume in the first ten months of this year. Official PNP statistics indicate that from January to end-October, total crime volume stood at 64,165 incidents, or a decrease of 9.83% compared with 71,162 incidents posted for the same period in 2003. 10 FILIPINO COPS JOIN UN MISSION IN HAITI - The Philippine National Police will send ten Filipino policemen to join the United Nations Mission in Haiti. 266 WANTED PERSONS NEUTRALIZED IN 2 WEEKS - The Philippine National Police arrested 261 wanted persons during the first two weeks of August. Four other wanted persons were killed, while another surrendered during the period. Police anti-drug operations during the last two weeks yielded P11.6-million worth of illegal drugs such as Shabu, Cocaine, and Marijuana plants. 155 COPS COMPLETE COMMANDO TRAINING - Some 155 police personnel, 62 of them policewomen, today successfully completed the Commando Course of the elite PNP Special Action Force.
