PNP - PIO TURN-IN 2-STAFF CARS FOR METRO MOBILE PATROL The PNP Public Information Office under PNP Spokesman, Senior Superintendent Leopoldo N Bataoil, today turned-in its two issued staff cars to be used by the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) in its mobile patrol operations. Bataoil formally turned-over the two cars to the NCRPO during symbolic ceremonies in Camp Crame today, witnessed by members of the PNP Press Corps. According to Bataoil, “these cars will be more useful for police mobile patrol operations in Metro Manila than for the administrative functions of my office.” Bataoil said, the National Headquarters has earlier started to download mobile assets and other logistics to field units in an effort to fill-up the lacking logistical requirements of line units in their daily operations. Most Command Group and Directorial Staff offices at the National Headquarters have already turned-in some of their issued staff cars to the Logistics Support Service for re-issuance to PNP Units that are in urgent need of police vehicles. In Metro Manila alone, Bataoil noted, only 30% of the mobility requirement of Police Stations has been filled-up. Some 70% of Police Stations do not have patrol vehicles. The two PNP-PIO staff cars, a Proton Wira and a Nissan Sentra will be fitted with police accessories and re-configured as police patrol vehicles. |
