SAF DEPLOYED TO RESTORE PEACE IN ABRA Bangued, Abra – Task Force Abra has establisjed its presence in this land-locked province in the Cordillera with the primary mission to dismantle Partisan Armed Groups (PAGs) mostly employed by local politicians. PNP Chief, Deputy Director General Edgar B Aglipay formally activated Task Force Abra over the weekend with the arrival in the province of a 100-strong hard-hitting PNP Special Action Force Contingent that will form part of the Task Force. Task Force Abra, under Cordillera Regional Office Director, Chief Superintendent Rowland Albano, is also composed of contingents from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), the Intelligence Group (IG), the Regional Mobile Group (RMG) of Cordillera, and the Abra Police Provincial Office that will provide investigative, intelligence and personnel support. The PNP-SAF Contingent is headed by Chief Inspector Willie Cayat and is under the overall supervision of Deputy SAF.
