ONE STRIKE POLICY: LOMIBAO RELIEVES PAGBILAO POLICE CHIEF

Director General Arturo C Lomibao today ordered the relief of a Chief of Police in Quezon province in line with the continuing aggressive campaign of the Philipine National Police against illegal gambling activities in the country.

Relieved from post was Senior Inspector Roger Fuentes , Chief of Police of Pagbilao Municipal Police Station in Quezon.

Fuentes' relief stemmed from the arrest of two suspected “jueteng” collectors at the Pagbilao Public Market over the weekend by agents of the Anti-Illegal Gambling Special Operations Task Force (AIG-SOTF) headed by Chief Superintendent Florante Baguio.

Arrested during the operation were Manuel De Rama LOSLOSO and Josephine Lagrama ACEDILLO , both of Barangay Del Carmen, Pagbilao, Quezon.

The suspects will be charged for violation of Section 4 of Republic Act No. 9287 , the new law that imposes stiffer penalties for bettors, collectors, and maintainers of illegal gambling activities.

Fuentes' relief brings to 12 the total number of local PNP officials who have been relieved from post in accordance with the One-Strike Policy on Chiefs of Police who will fall short of expectation in the anti-illegal gambling campaign.

Among those relieved were the Provincial Directors of Sorsogon and Davao Oriental.

Others relieved were the Chiefs of Police of Tiwi, Albay; Tinambac and Bato in Camarines Sur; Sorsogon City ; Meycauayan, Bulacan; Mabalacat, Pampanga; Placer and Cataingan, Masbate ; Talavera, Nueva Ecija; and Pagbilao, Quezon.
