PRESS STATEMENT OF THE PNP SPOKESMAN POLICE CHIEF SUPERINTENDENT LEOPOLDO N BATAOIL

The Police Anti-Crime and Emergency Response (PACER) and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) have begun the initial investigation of the alleged illegal detention of TSgt. Vidal Doble by Atty. Samuel Ong and other personalities at the San Carlos Seminary.

Assisted by counsel, TSgt. Doble is now preparing an affidavit detailing his experience in the hands of his alleged abductors.

Meantime, the PNP is coordinating closely with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in establishing the whereabouts of Atty. Samuel Ong.

No arrest will be made as yet, but, in case an arrest order is eventually issued by the court, the PNP will assist the concerned law enforcement agencies in implementing the order.
