BACOLOD IS GREEN & GO FOR 23 RD SEA GAMES 

PNP Chief, Director General Arturo C Lomibao made his final inspection of SEA Games security readiness in Bacolod City today.

Upon his arrival, the Regional Direcor for Western Visayas, Chief Supt Doroteo Reyes II and other officials led him to Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) for briefing then immediately inspected the playing venues at Bacolod Convention Center (weightlifting), Paglaum Stadium (football), Panaad Stadium (football), West Negros College (indoor volleyball), St. La Salle (beach volleyball and boxing).

He also made a quick walk-thru inspection of the billeting areas like L' Fisher, Business Inn and Sugarland hotels on his way back to d airport where d PAF heli will take him to other PNP units in Region 6.

Lomibao reminded police units to strengthen security of vulnerable police stations, government installations, telecom sites and other vital installations in response to the vocal threats of renewed hostilities by the CPP/NPA.

The PNP upgraded its alert status effective today to Full Alert in all the 5 regions (NCR, Regions 3, 4A, 6 and 7) that will host the 23rd SEA Games, and heightened alert in all other regions in support to the overall security of the SEA Games.

Lomibao is accompanied by PCSupt Leopoldo N Bataoil, the PNP Spokesman in this inspection sortie to Western Visayas .
