4 MORE POLICE OFFICIALS ASSUME NEW POSTS

Following the recent reorganization of police officials occupying some key positions in the PNP, Director General Oscar C Calderon today designated four more senior officials to new posts.

Named to new positions are:

Chief Superintendent Augusto P Angcanan , Acting Director, Civil Security Group
Chief Superintendent Arturo G Cacdac , Acting Director, Crime Laboratory
Senior Superintendent Orlando L Pestaño , Acting Director, Finance Service
Senior Superintendent Florencio A Caccam Jr ., Acting Chief, Firearms and Explosives Division

The new designation will take effect on Monday, November 6, except for Pestaño's designation which already took effect yesterday upon the retirement of erstwhile Finance Service Director, Chief Superintendent Jose S Gutierrez.

The Chief PNP challenged the newly-designated officials to equal, if not, surpass the record of accomplishments set by their predecessors, especially in the implementation of the 4-point action program on anti-criminality, anti-terrorism, anti-insurgency, and internal reform.

Last month, Calderon appointed ten police officials to key positions in the Directorial Staff, National Support Units, and Police Regional Offices.

The latest round of reorganization was set-off by the retirement of several star-rank officials in the NSUs and PROs.
