10 POLICE OFFICIALS ASSUME NEW POSTS Director General Oscar C Calderon today urged police officials newly-designated to key positions in different levels of command in the Philippine National Police to rally their respective units behind the PNP Integrated Transformation Program. "This is our dream for the organization, to transform it into a capable, effective and credible police force that deserves the trust and respect of the people," Calderon said. At the same time, Calderon challenged the newly-designated officials to equal, if not, surpass the record of accomplishments set by their predecessors, especially in the implementation of the 4-point action program on anti-criminality, anti-terrorism, anti-insurgency, and internal reform. This was the guidance of the Chief PNP to ten senior PNP officials who have been designated to new positions in the Directorial Staff, National Support Units, and Police Regional Offices. The latest round of reorganization was set-off by the retirement of Police Director Marcelo S Ele Jr., erstwhile Director for Investigation and Detective Management, and several other star-rank officials in the NSUs and PROs. Designated to new positions are: Chief Supt Edgardo Doromal , The Acting Director for Investigation and Detective Management; The newly-designated officials are expected to assume their posts within the week. A total of 26 star-rank police officers will retire this year. |
