PNP - CSG MARKS 26th ANNIVERSARY

THE CIVIL Security Group of the Philippine National Police marks its 26 th anniversary today with a record P208.6 million in revenues gathered from firearms, explosives and security personnel licensing and permits.

In a report to PNP chief, Director General Oscar C. Calderon, CSG director, Chief Superintendent Leonardo E. Dionisio said that the increased revenues came as a result of their new program to be a vital cog in the PNP's campaign against terrorism while being a service-oriented and graft-free police organization.

Dionisio said that out of the revenues, P163 million were collected by the PNP Firearms and Explosives Division while P45.660 million came from the Security Agencies and Guards Supervisory Division.

This year alone, the PNP-CSG already activated its Northern Luzon Action Center in Urdaneta City in Pangasinan and an FED satellite office in Greenhills, San Juan and launched its website and ‘order of payment' computerization program through the help of Tarlac Rep. Gilbert C. Teodoro Jr.

“The common objective of these projects is to enhance the delivery of our services consistent with the priority program of Gen. Calderon,” Dionisio said.
