REQUIREMENTS FOR MOTOR VEHICLE CLEARANCE

A. ORIGINAL REGISTRATION

  1. Brand New
    • Sales Invoice
    • LTO Confirmation Certificate of the Sales Invoice
  2. Imported
    • BOC Certificate of Payment
    • LTO Confirmation Certificate of the Certificate of Payment
    • Informal Entry
    • Bill of Lading
  3. Assembled
    • Sales Invoices of the engine and chassis
    • LTO Confirmation Certificate of the engine and chassis
    • Affidavit of Rebuilt (duly notarized and to be executed by the owner)
    • If engine/chassis was acquired from a private person or company, deed of sale of the engine and chassis.
    • Certificate of Registration and LTO Official Receipt covering the acquired engine/chassis

B. TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP

  1. Deed of Sale
  2. LTO Certificate of Registration and Official Receipt
  3. If vehicle is mortgaged, submit Cancellation/Release/Assumption of Mortgage
  4. If vehicle was acquired from a company/corporation, submit Secretary's Certificate
  5. If the sale was made through a representative, submit Special Power of Attorney

C. CHANGE OF ENGINE/CHASSIS

  1. Sales Invoice of the engine/chassis
  2. LTO Confirmation Certificate of the engine/chassis
  3. Affidavit of Change engine/chassis (duly notarized and to be executed by the owner)
  4. If engine/chassis was acquired from a private person or company/corporation,submit deed of sale of the engine/chassis
  5. LTO Certificate of Registration and Official Receipt covering the acquired engine/chassis

D. CHANGE OF COLOR

  1. Affidavit of change of color (duly notarized and to be executed/signed by the owner)
  2. Certificate of Registration and LTO Official Receipt

E. CHANGE OF BODY DESIGN

  1. Affidavit of change body design (duly notarized and to be executed/signed by the owner)
  2. Certificate of Registration and LTO Official Receipt

F. FOR SHIPMENT

  1. LTO Certificate of Registration and Official Receipt

G. RECORD CHECK

Note: *All motor vehicle shall be subjected to macro etching by the PNPCLG except those that are not required in SOP#2 *A photocopy of Tax Account Number of the Owner shall be attached as one of the requirements in securing PNP MV Clearance.


REQUIREMENTS FOR FLASHING AN ALARM FOR STOLEN MOTOR VEHICLES

In cases when a motor vehicle is stolen, the registered owner must report the incident to any TMG office bringing the following documents/papers for the nationwide flash alarm:

  1. Police Report (if the incident was previously reported to the Local Police)
  2. Original OR/CR
  3. Authorized/SPA from the Registered Owner (if the one Reporting is a representative)
  4. Secretary’s Certificate and Board Resolution (if owned by a Company)
  5. Insurance Policy
  6. Deed of Sale
  7. Certification from the Company (Financing)


REQUIREMENTS FOR LIFTING FLASHING AN ALARM FOR RECOVERED STOLEN MOTOR VEHICLES

The following documents must be incorporated in the properly authenticated 3 original copies of the Investigation Report to be submitted to the Motor Vehicle Clearing Committee (MVCC):

  1. Macro-etching examination result
  2. Alarm and Complaint Sheet
  3. Spot/Recovery Report/Sworn Affidavit of owner, if self recovered.
  4. Proof of release of MV to owner, if the MV has been released the applicant by any law enforcement unit.
  5. Original copy of certificate of Registration (CR), Official Receipt (OR) and Confirmation Certificate (CC). If CR/OR is a Xerox/photocopy, it must be authenticated by the duly authorized officer of the recommending unit.
  6. Deed of Sale, only if the sale was done before MV was stolen; certification from the investigator that the Deed of Sale is authentic. In case of multiple transfers, all Deeds of Sale shall be duly verified.
  7. Release of Claim/Subrogation/Deed of Sale (if the applicants is an insurance company) duly verified by the investigating unit.
  8. Special Power of Attorney/valid identification bearing signature of the person giving the authority (if applicant is a representative); Board resolution/Corporate Secretary’s Certificate, if the registered owner is a company/corporation.
  9. Affidavit of the requesting party/owner that he/she is still the registered owner and he/she has not made any claim with any insurance company regarding the loss of said MV. (Certificate of no-claim from the insurance company, if the lost MV is covered by comprehensive insurance policy).
  10. Latest picture of MV and claimant.
  11. Others, as case/situation requires.


BUYING TIPS FOR 2ND HAND MOTOR VEHICLES

  1. Check the authenticity of the OR/CR/Plate Number of the MV to the LTO.
  2. Check the actual Motor and Chassis Number for any presence of Tampering.
  3. Check with the MVCO-TMG or SOD-TMG if subject motor vehicle is included in the Wanted List.
