The long arm of law is applicable for this fugitive drug lord. On October 16, 2016 at about 10:00 PM, Rolan “Kerwin” Espinosa who was listed as number two (2) in the National High Value Target on Illegal Drugs, and the son of Albuera, Leyte Mayor who was also arrested for Violation of RA 9165, was arrested in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates by virtue of a Red Notice issued by Interpol-Lyons, France by the State Security Department (SSD) of United Arab Emirates with the help of Criminal Investigation Division of Abu Dhabi Police.
The warrant of arrest served on Kerwin Espinosa was issued by the Regional Trial Court of Baybay, Leyte for Violation of RA 10591 (Illegal Possession of Firearms).
The PNP arresting team is composed of PSSUPT ALBERT IGNATIUS D FERRO, Acting Director, Anti-Illegal Drugs Group (PNP-AIDG) together with PSSUPT RANDY PERALTA and PSSUPT ALDEN DELVO thru PSSUPT ENRIQUE MAGALONA, Police Attaché-Middle East, in coordination with Philippine Embassy in UAE.
As of now, the documents for extradition of Kerwin Espinosa are on process and if possible, he will be brought in to the Philippines as escorted by PSSUPT FERRO to face his charges. (AIDG Press release)
